Horse dies after crashing during race (AP)
A horse at Vancouver’s Hastings Racecourse has died after crashing into a barrier shortly after leaving the gate. Three-year-old Private Mambo bucked off his jockey, smashed through the winner’s circle and was killed instantly Saturday. The jockey wasn’t injured, but a security worker was rushed to a hospital for surgery.
